The DPM will be working on a fast-paced, integrated product development team with supporting responsibilities for the overall performance of the assigned program.
The DPM is expected to provide leadership within the program team as well as externally by interfacing with customers and external partners.
The DPM will assist the Program Manager plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established deadlines and contract requirements.
The DPM will assist with directing activities of the project, monitors project status, assists in resolution of project issues, interfaces with functional area management as needed, and creates related project documentation including customer reports and presentations.
Duties and Responsibilities Assist with managing cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs to ensure project contractual work products are delivered on time and within budget.
Provide for an additional program interface with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Assists with the development of the performance measurement baseline and monitors execution, including establishment of and routine reporting on the technical performance, financial status, and program risks and issues.
Generates the Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) in coordination with inputs from Control Account Managers.
Identifies program problems and issues, and coordinates with the Program Manager, functional managers and customers to obtain solutions to obtain solutions.
Reviews reports and briefings prepared by staff for quality and compliance to contract requirements.
Provides oversight and management of supplementary technical instructions.
Supports execution of program reviews (travel anticipated).
Prepares and delivers formal briefings (travel anticipated).
Complies with quality assurance and security procedures in the performance of duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Leadership and management experience.
Knowledgeable of defense contracting and finance, including Earned Value (EIA-748).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experienced with MS Office and related software applications.
Education/Experience Bachelor's degree with 5
years of related experience is required.
